About this event
The 14th Edition of the VUT Student Academic Development Support and Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Show brings you a conversation with Sylvia Mkhwanazi, Information Coordinator, Co-operative Education, at Vaal University of Technology. Her role is more than a job, as highlighted in this extract from her short profile: “My passion to work with people, especially young individuals, started when I realized that most of students are not sure what to study and where to get information, I always say to them, the gap year is a no no to me, rather study short courses while you are still trying to clear your mind. It is advisable to seek clarity if you are not sure, our offices are open at any time, if you need help”.
The purpose of the show is to enlighten you the viewers and listeners, prospective students and current students, industry players and education funders on the critical role played by the Universities of Technology (UoTs) in preparing the students for the world of work through initiatives like Work-Integrated Learning WIL) and Students Development Support.
The show is the partnership between the VUT Co-operative Education Under The Centre for Academic Development, www.vut.ac.za and COMETSA Friends & Supporters Club NPO, www.CometsaMember.Com, in collaboration with COMETSA Business Academy (CBA), https://businessacademy.cometsa-goc.com
